Chineham 36-7 Southsea Nomads
George Young kicked off the scoring, finishing out wide after good hands from the Chineham back line. This was followed soon after by Jack Soper bursting through the Nomads line after good hands from Adam Lincoln. Young doubled his tally as Chineham continued their strong start, with a great wriggling finish, well assisted by Seb Ratcliffe. The next try was a satisfying one for the pack, as despite attempts by the visitors not to engage, the maul rolled and rumbled and gave Tom Scoble the perfect platform to score his 9th of the season.
Chineham 41-17 Andover
A 7 try showing for the Lions, as the lads bellied the conditions to secure a bonus point victory for the Lions against a physical Andover 23 💪🏼
Fly-half Matt Lingham got the show on the road, as Chineham made a strong start, barrelling his way through to dot down. Winger Ben Goodman was next to notch, smartly stepping inside to score after good work in midfield. Centre Adam Lincoln then put the finishing touches on a flowing move that saw great hands from the Chineham backline. The next score came from winger George Young powerfully finishing after leaving a trail of defenders in his wake. The icing on the cake of a fine first-half display saw Lingham again scythe through the opposition midfield to double his tally.
Chineham 7 - 39 Gosport & Fareham
Chineham fell short up against a strong Gosport & Fareham side. A sluggish side saw the visitors quickly open up a lead. A much-improved performance in the second half yielded another try for top scorer Tom Scoble, touching down off the back of another strong Chineham maul. The Chineham set piece returned to dominant form, with the hosts unlucky to add to the score.
Chineham 17-15 Lymington
The Lions emerged victorious from a tight encounter at Alton RFC against Lymington yesterday.
Chineham started strongly, number 8 Chris Dorling giving the ‘hosts’ strong field position to allow outside center Seb Ratcliffe to break the line and time his pass beautifully to winger Ben Goodman, who beat two men to finish strongly in the corner, Adam Lincoln adding the extras from out wide to give Chineham the perfect start.
Chineham 25-15 Hook & Odiham
The Lions came out on top in a ding-dong local derby played in a mud bowl at HQ.
A strong start was emphasised when Jamie West somehow beat 4 men out wide to score after a quickly taken penalty.
Gosport & Fareham 44-29 Chineham
A poor first half, showing the effects of a month without a fixture, led to a 31-0 deficit at half time. Battling against the wind made it difficult for the Lions to clear their lines, and Gosport capitalised, crossing 6 times in the first period.
Chineham 20 - 17 Andover
The Lions are up and running for the season with a battling and dramatic victory away to Andover this afternoon.
The game started well for the Lions with @joe__belcher laying on a superb assist for flying winger Harold Thieba to dot down within the first 5 minutes.
Chineham 24 - Southampton 45
An improved performance in boggy conditions came up short for the Lions yesterday. A strong start down the Chineham slope allowed @scoble7
Chineham 10-62 Aldershot and Fleet
A somewhat sub-optimal outing for the boys yesterday, a combination of illness and injury depleting the squad at the 11th hour.
Special shout out to both Tom Rubini, with some excellent hits, and Reece Liggins with some strong carries and a 
, on their debuts in black and yellow

Chineham 32-54 Tottonians
The first quarter of the game all went tots way as it took Chineham a while to build into the game, some loose kicks allowing Totts to counterattack with pace and ease out into a 24-0 lead.
A couple of penalty shots and a solo converted try by Jack Soper bought Chineham back into the game before Mike Amor fell narrowly short from a barrelling pick-and-go.
Chineham 20-0 Bognor
A memorable day for two long-serving players notching their first Chineham tries in the mud and rain. Chineham started strongly in the mud bowl, disrupting the opposition’s line out and dominating at the scrum. The pressure eventually told after a succession of penalties gave the platform for a strong maul spearheaded by Josh Pickett, who sprung over to notch his first Chineham try and get one over on the president.
Chineham 24-36 Sandown & Shanklin
A disappointing trip to the island for the lions as they came away empty-handed despite having the upper hand in the scrum and a hefty amount of possession and territory.
After an emotional minutes’ silence in honor of Sandown and Shanklin’s late club president, with both teams retiring the number 12 in honor, a poor start from the Lions as opposition 9 broke from the base of a scrum to send the 10 through under the sticks.
Chineham 47-7 Petersfield
A return to winning ways for the Lions, even after a slow start on a wet day at HQ.
A strong maul put Chineham into a great position before Tom Scoble broke off the back to get within a yard, quickly recycled by last season’s top scorer Boo Wells to open his account for the season. The Lions continued to grow into the game, winning a scrum against the head to allow Henry Dunne to provide the pass for Jack Soper to score under the posts.
Christchurch 31-7 Chineham
A tough day at the office for the Lions, despite a strong start and dominating territory in the first 20. Rushed decision-making and I’ll discipline in the final third proved costly, after the fly-half Jack Soper pushed a penalty attempt wide from halfway, Christchurch took advantage of a strong scrum to score under the sticks and open the scoring.
Chineham 31 - Tottonians 19
The lions followed up their victory at Bognor last time out with another commanding performance. Despite a scrappy start, Ben Goodman opened the scoring with a delightful chip and chase from deep. The lions extended their lead through a strong finish from Phil Circou out wide after some strong carries through the midfield. Their lead was further extended when Jack Soper broke from the halfway line to finish under the sticks. A contentious score from the visitors brought the half to a close at 19-7.
Chineham 32 - 10 Bognor
A heroic performance from the Lions to kick-start our season. Travelling with 14 due to injuries, the Lions started strong, dominating collisions in midfield and gaining the upper hand in the set piece. Unlike previous fast starts, the boys hauled themselves over the whitewash first, Mikey Jacob finishing brutally off the back of a successful driving maul. Chineham kept up the pressure, and after a great one-handed pickup from Tom Scoble, Ben Mansfield muscled his way over to make it 10-0 to Chineham at the break.

The lions struck straight back, some delicious offloading down the left touchline leading to great field position for the evergreen O’Brien to force his way over from close range.

A return to winning ways for the Lions, even after a slow start on a wet day at HQ.
A strong maul put Chineham into a great position before Tom Scoble broke off the back to get within a yard, quickly recycled by last seasons top scorer Boo Wells to open his account for the season.
The Lions continued to grow into the game, winning a scrum against the head to allow Henry Dunne to provide the pass for Jack Soper to score under the posts. The momentum continued, as from the kick off, after a strong carry from Chris Dorling, Soper sent a cross kick in behind the Petersfield backs which was well gathered by wing Phil Circou, and an excellent pass sent in Dunne to finish strongly under pressure.
A sloppy finish to the half saw Petersfield score from a quick tap 5 metres out after a sustained period of pressure after Lee Rudden was unfortunate to take a team yellow for persistent infringements.
Christchurch 31-7 Chineham
